Write a linear model for the special airfaires a based on the total numbers of mile t of the flight. Estimate the airfaire offered for a flight from Boston to Sacramento, a distance of 2629 miles.

let a = air fare of flight let t = total mile of the flight then (t - 386) = extra travel mileage then $0.138(t-386) = extra dollars needed. then a = $201.00 + $0.138(t - 386) for fare from Boston to Sacramento = $201.00 + $0.138 ( 2629 - 386 ) = $201.00 + $0.138 ( 2243) = $201.00 + $309.53 (2 decimal place) = $510.53
